Description

Hello, this group has been formed to put British (UK)people who've been to, or who are planning to go to the USA, in touch with each other and in touch with our American friends who will help us with their knowledge of their country.

Whilst the USA shares our language (almost! - see our club dictionary) and is very familiar because of films and TV, it can remain a very foreign and very very big place to visit for the 'little islander' British.

Share your joys, warn others of your horrors, ask and give advice, but most of all visit and enjoy this wonderful country. In particular take a fly drive holiday which is the best way to see what there is to see.
Checkout the uk-2-usa.com fly drive planning web site

If you dont mind spending a little money on luxury, you could try the OCEANA Hotel, at 849 Ocean Avenue, Santa Monica tn 001 3013930486. web site

Re: Los Angeles
You may want to consider the Venice Beach/Marina Del Rey area. It's a short taxi ride to LAX. ________________________________ From: brewersfriend

Re: New Orleans
The usual links to New Orleans on a road trip loop in that region would be to see Memphis, Nashville, Smoky Mountain NP, Atlanta back to New Orleans. UK
