For those who continue their discussions here at Yahoo: The purpose of this list is to discuss anything that is somehow related to the British Royal Family.

This is a discussion list. All posters and opinions within list rules are welcome and are to be respected. That being said, anyone who expresses an opinion should be prepared to have it challenged and to back it up with facts and/or sources. This list is not about idle gossip and if that is what a person is interested in then I suggest alt.gossip.royalty and alt.talk.royalty newsgroups or one of the many other mailing lists about royalty. (Some of which can be found via http://groups.yahoo.com/group/uk-royal/links) Being part of this list should be considered as an opportunity to gain and share knowledge and information

One does not have to love or worship the Royal Family or even like every individual member to post here. However, people who believe the monarchy should be abolished or think the royal family are a bunch of rich, do-nothing individuals and the like should consider going elsewhere. Their posts are often meant to be antagonistic and to cause an argument.

Last but not least: members of this group are expected to show respect for the monarchy and for the members of the British royal family. If you want to ridicule them, go somewhere else. If you want to discuss and critique them and their behaviours in a polite, diplomatic, tactful way, please do stay.
