UK-ICHILD is an off-shoot of the main ICHILD group, and is intended to be a meeting place for:-

parents from or living in the U.K. who have adopted from India,

those in the process of or thinking about becoming adopters from India,

and of course for older children or adults who have been adopted from India.

Topics of conversation do not necessarily have to be specific to India adoption but can be wide ranging and may include issues pertaining to India and the subcontinent, children, families, adoption, child development, health, etc.

This group is mainly for members wishing to get information about the adoption process (all stages, pre- and post-adoption) from other members. As such it cannot always give up-to-date pre-adoption information, however well-meaning the advice given. The anecdotal information can be very useful, but may not always be correct.
