THE SPECIAL SESSION FOR CHILDREN IS SCHEDULED TO TAKE PLACE ON 8-10 MAY, 2002 AT THE UNITED NATIONS IN NEW YORK. THE CHILDREN'S FORUM WILL ALSO TAKE PLACE IN NEW YORK FROM 5-7 MAY, 2002. The Under-18 Participation Task Force of the NGO Committee on UNICEF is an NGO Coalition focused on facilitating the meaningful and substantive invovlement of Under 18 Year-Olds in the 2001 UN General Assembly Special Session on Children. The Task Force is co-chaired by the International Save the Children Alliance and World Vision International. The only membership requirement is endorsement of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and a commitment to the above purpose statement.
