It takes one year to read the Torah from beginning to end. When the annual Torah reading has been completed, it is immediately begun anew.
In connection with the weekly Torah readings are haftorah readings from the Prophets, (nevaim), and the Holy Writings (ketuvim). These haftorah readings provide greater insight to the Torah readings.
This list has been established to provide discussion of Torah Vayyiggash Haftorah Vayyiggash, (Genesis 45-47, and Ezekiel 37:15-28). The former deals with Joseph revealing himself to his brothers, and their festive reunion in Egypt, and the latter discusses the reuniting of Judah with Joseph in the latter days.
