This group is about Twined Knitting.
With the knitting technique from Sweden wonderful fabrics can be produced that are warm, thick, hold the form well and can contain beautiful decorative motifs. On the back of the work the two threads are twined, which gives the knitting the specific properties.
Twined Knitting is also named tvåändsstickning, tvåändssticka, tvåändsstickat, krokmaskan or two-end knitting.

Look at the mittens on the photo. Can you believe these striped and solid woolwhite mittens are made from the same pattern?

This group will also be a meeting place for the students of the workshops Twined Knitting by Carla Meijsen and Hilly van der Sluis.
