This email list for the exclusive use of the Gaia Community Twigs ’N Berries group. It is a men’s group connected to Gaia Community, an Earth-based Pagan-themed Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Kansas City.
The Brotherhood of the Twigs ’N Berries (working title) is a Gaia Community covenant group established to develop an opportunity for men, of any sexual orientation, to gather in a spiritual and non-sexual intimate working group, to further explore our sacred practice and integrating it into our life behavior. By using a variety of traditional and culture techniques, we will explore men's issues in a shared fellowship of trust, and respect that is experienced viscerally through self-realization and individual reconnection. The goal of each retreat is to give the participants a deeper understanding of values to enhance their responsibilities as men of society. The group will be exploring pagan spirituality centered on a masculine point of view. Fifty percent for the membership of this group must be Full-active members of Gaia Community as must be the covenant leader.
Membership is open to anyone that is:
• eighteen or older
• identifies as male
• practicing a spirituality that is non-inimical with pagan traditions or forms of earth-based spirituality
• affirm and promote the seven principles of the UUA.
• sign the groups written covenant and ground rules of behavior and be current to the groups obligations
Retreats will be peer-led and probably involve primitive camping when reasonable. This will focus our awareness to our earth connection. Besides spiritual growth work, "camp fire" discussions will focus on men's mysteries.
