Don't depend on the MSM to do their job
Is it honorable for a politican to get full pay while he/she is seeking higher office even though they are out on the campaign trail 24/7 and not tending to their elected duties? Would it be more honorable to quit their current job, or at least forgo their pay, when they are spending every waking hour seeking a higher position?
Consider this: in the last election, Obama, Biden and McCain were all receiving a full Senate salary; Palin was getting paid as a governor of Alaska , and Michelle was getting paid more than any of them via a pay-to-play hospital even though she was on the campaign trail with her husband. (Did you know she got the $300K salary even though she lost her law license?)
Would it be more honorable for all candidates to give up their salaries for work not done and Michelle’s employer investigated by the FEC on suspicion of making an illegal campaign contribution (not reported by the candidate).
If a radio talk show host wanted to run for president, by law he/she would be required to give up his job to be eligible, even if he was a natural born citizen. Is it fair for an incumbent to be given an unfair advantage over a challenger?
The moral of the story is: there is no honor among theives.
