Welcome to high-altitude paddling in the Lake Tahoe Basin. This site is for communication regarding the Kawaiulu 'o Tahoe Outrigger Canoe Club located at Donner Lake, Truckee, CA. To join this site, you will need to provide your name, a contact phone number and your email address. We do not currently have a website

Come try paddling 2x for free. If you decide you love it, dues are $200 per year ($120 if you are under 26), or $10 per drop-in session. The dues include a Donner Lake West End Beach pass for the season. Discounted prepaid drop ins are also available ($60 for ten sessions or $30 for 4 sessions) Outrigger canoes are stored and launched from West End Beach, Donner Lake, near the pavilion.

NOTE: In order for newcomers to attend, they should make contact with a club member to sign them up to confirm that a seat is available.

Practices: Advanced/race, recreational and novice: Advanced/race practices should have solid technique, foundation and endurance to attend; these are race-intensive practices. See "Database" and message for weekly practices and to reserve a seat.

Please sign up for respective practice sessions by clicking on the Database tab to left. If you cannot make a practice you have signed up for, please be sure to remove your name from the sign up as a courtesy to your fellow paddlers.

Special practices are created when a dedicated race crew wants more water time - discuss with coaches.

Special introductory practices will occur throughout the summer and will be posted as messages and on "database"
