I have received some private messages from persons who share my anger over this
woman's insult to all people of Tristan. I believe the situation is deserving
of a collective response, but we who subscribe to this internet group are not a
"group," in the usual sense. And while I post a lot of information, it's almost
entirely things I pick up elsewhere, and I claim no leadership position. In
fact, the list has an owner, and he's not me.

As regards the lady's education, I'd like to paraphrase a line from one of
Julian Cairns-Wicks' recent columns in the St. Helena Independent: "What a
shame that her responsibilities do not extend to cultivating a less abrasive
manner."

Mz Cantle is apparently a grad student at Goldsmith's University in London.

and unemotional letter to the President of the University about Mz Cantle's
conduct.
