Trip the Light Fantastic is a Dance Group based in Oakland, CA, that has over the last 11 years been dedicated to creating and maintaining a fun and exciting dance environment for the LGBT community. The primary focus of this organization is to bring joy of queer partner dancing to the LGBT community. Trip the Light Fantastic also aims at representing the Bay Area LGBT community in local, domestic and international events like Queer Dance Competitions, Gay Games, Out Games and various LGBT Dance events like Sundance Stompede, SF Pride, Sisters Stepping in Pride etc. Currently Trip the Light Fantastic boasts of about 200 regular patrons and students.

We have Queer Partner Dancing Group Classes every Monday in Oakland. We also do private individual lessons, private group lessons, teaching and DJing at special events. We love working with couples making their wedding day even more special. We help them choose the song, dance and choreograph their wedding dance to show them off to their absolute best.
