No, it's just that a picture of Parky and the term 'yellow bung' conjures up an image in my head that takes days to shift....even after he's had the op.

I am deeply shocked and saddened to pass on the news that Peter
Bellham has died suddenly.
Below is an announcement from Roger Keay at Buckminster, which I'm
sure echoes the sentiments we will feel at Kirton about Peter's loss:
Dear Members,
It is with much regret that I have to advise you of the untimely
death of our friend and colleague, Peter Belham.
Most of you will know that Peter had been working on a new Flight Log
and Accounting package for us. Last Saturday, the system 'went live'
with the Laptop on the bus being used for the first time. Peter spent
the whole day at the launch-point and I understand was there again
all day yesterday.
Apparently he arrived home feeling very tired, which was
unsurprising. However, he then suffered a stroke and was taken to
hospital, where he had a fatal heart attack.
I know this will be a huge shock to you all and you will want to
express your sympathy to his wife and family. However, please note
that Mrs. Belham has asked that members should not contact her by
telephone. Ray Parkin will be the point of contact if you have any
questions.
We will consider how the club as a whole should respond in due course
and will advise you of funeral arrangements etc. when these are known.
Kind Regards,
Roger
Hi all, some dates for your diary and the announcement of a task week in
May!
On May 16/17th is the Saltby Leg of the Interclubs and the following (bank
holiday)weekend, the 23/24/25th will be the 5th Wood and Glass competition.
John Sentance is keen that we have a task week and it makes sense to link
these two events with that week....so, starting on Saturday May 16th and
ending on Monday 25th May we will also be running a task week.
The task week will mean that tugs will be available, weather briefings will
be given and tasks will be set. Everyone and anyone can come and fly (so
long as the CFI is happy) and the two seaters will be available. Retrieves
will not be a problem as everyone will be there to lend a hand. It should
be a lot of fun. Visiting pilots are very very welcome.
For the first weekend, priority for launches will be given to the Interclub
teams...but that means lots of airbourne thermal markers in place!
For the last weekend, we will run the usual W&G fun competition with a BBQ
on the saturday night (volunteers please to help run this).
More details to come, but please can you e-mail me if you think you will be
entering the W&G and/or flying in any or all of the task week.
Even if you can only get one day of work, please come along and support this
event!

I've changed the website photo gallery over to Flickr.
This means that anyone can upload photos in the gallery, without
having to email them to me. The photos can also be higher quality
without taking up space on the website - I had to resize all the
photos on the last gallery due to limited website space, which reduced
the quality of the photos.
To put photos in the gallery all you have to do is create a Flickr
account (took me less than a minute to do), upload the photos onto
your account and then post them to the group below :
http://www.flickr.com/groups/tvgc/pool/
Fingers crossed the photos should appear automatically in the gallery.
I still havn't added all the images from the old gallery yet.
The next challenge is to try and group the photos into folders based
on subjects.
Thanks,
Callum Harkness
