This is an important advise from CHIBI:

Steps for getting the Japanese to display:

You need to install the Japanese language input/output option for Windows XP
(or equivalent). Do a "google" on Japanese install Microsoft windows.

Once you've done that, then, you can use the QWERTY keyboard to enter the
onji "sound" characters such as typing m a to get the hiragana equivalent of
"ma" ¤Þ. It takes a little practice, but, it works pretty well. You then
can use the space bar to get the kanji, for example for ¤Þ kanji can be
Ëâ ´Ö Ëà
and others.

If anyone has problems I can support a yahoo IM to help anyone step through
the process.

Also you need to answer the question at the bottom of posts:
"What language is this post in?" with "Japanese" this will help insure the
encoding in Yahoo will work.

You can also try to adjust the VIEW option of your own monitor to see other
languages.

Here is my part on this Technical Support, concernng the

Windows of Babel ::: o)

As for OO and OU in the spelling, well, the Japanese keyboard uses OU to
show a long letter O.
The Hepburn system (invented before the word processor ...) uses OO for a
long O, sometimes the O with a dash on top of it is used, but that is even
more difficult to input and later google with it.

I personally prefere the Hepburn versions for writing in Roomaji.
But please, try at least to write each Japanese word with a space after it.
There is no need to emulate the Japanese writing in one line.

We will try to solve technical problems as they come up!
Thank you so much, Chibi san!
