This group is for the discussion of modeling and prototype information of the transition era (1930's to the early 1960's) including the details to make your model railroad and diesel & steam engines closer to the real thing.

The focus of the group was meant to be the steam to diesel time era, but is open to all discussion of the era when steam was running and diesels were taking over! (this includes electics)

I model PRR and B&O right now, but this group is open to discussion of all railroads! And for that matter not just railroads! Discussion of modeling industries, towns, or anything else to help you create your model railroad is on topic!

Here are the rules I have so far, and violating these could result in having your posts moderated or being removed from the list:
1) Any personal attacks on members (or non members) will not be tolerated. I expect everyone to respect each other and our opinions.
2) Please keep all discussions on topic. The topic is broad, so there should be plenty of room for good converstation.
3) No attachments! Feel free to post modeling photos or prototype photos to the photo section. Also feel free to post any text relating to the topic in the files section along with any bookmarks and so forth....
4)Please sign your name or"handle" to all postings. Since we are not just for a single scale you should also add your scale when asking questions.
5)Please try to remember to edit your replys and make sure the subject information matches what you are discussing
