| hello everyone, i've received some phone calls, texts and emails about our participation in this weekend's JASecon Festival. Are you willing to come and help staff the Transition East Bay table? Please let me know, even if you think you've told me already (i forget things often). The organizers of this event specifically invited TEB to participate, and have been very selective about the groups they're partnering with. So I feel honored that we were invited. The event starts at 10am. Even if you don't want to help Transition East Bay (do you feel guilty?), you should come to enjoy whatever aspect of the event you like, it sounds like it'll be cool. Someone also left me a vm about the Transition East Bay flyer. There's nothing particularly East Bay about it. It's basically a flyer from someplace in the UK with our contact information pasted where theirs was. Some of you've expressed reservations about using this flyer because of the photos, so we've never printed it. i don't know if i will print it for saturday. If you have time, please bring copies of this or another flyer, with better pictures! Also if the person who borrowed my Transition book, could bring that to the event, I'd appreciate it. Here is the link to the online version, you can download it for free: http://transitiontowns.org/forum/topic/the-transition-handbook-read-online Yours Jk . All human conflicts can be solved because they originate in the human mind, which is the real battleground we should be focusing on. -- Muhammad Yunus, Nobel Peace Laureate 2008 |
