TransEquality Maryland, a committee of Maryland's statewide LGBT advocacy organization, was born out of MATTER (Marylanders Advocating Towards Transgender Equal Rights). The goal of the committee is to work towards local and statewide legal protections on the basis of gender identity or expression.

The discussion group is to discuss organizing tactics, set meetings, and exchange articles of interest from across the country that will assist us in our work.
