SPONGE BAR ** SPONGE BAR ** SPONGE BAR
The condition of your sponge bar (needle retaining bar as it is also known), is critical to your knitting machines performance and more often than not the culprit of most problems of new to you or re-homed machines. The page in your manual that tells you how to replace a damaged needle will show you how to remove your sponge bar. You can search for a vendor online to purchase a new one, or you can follow instructions found online or in our Files section of the group and rebuild your existing bar.
