Re: [toterbuilders] Toter has a Larger Brother

Hi Chuck,
Many thanks.  I noticed the posting after I wrote the message. Also thanks for making it a featured article, as you have many to choose from, I am sure.  This week will see more water testing and I expect to load it fully (4 people) in the near future.  FYI: The 3.5 oz. Glass Cloth Tape and TiteBond3 Glue seem to make a good combination, as the chine seams are very solid.  Time will tell as to the durability.
Regards,
               Ken

Wishing to provide a larger version of Toter has resulted in a new 2 part boat design called POLLYWOG. Nested it is 5 feet long, 4 feet wide and 22 inches high. Assembled it is 9 feet long and 18 inches high and 4 feet wide. It can carry 3 people with ample freeboard, and can be powered with up to a 4 hp motor, or be rowed for casual duty. Plans will be available from DUCKWORKS within a week or so, with a sailing version under construction. If you would like to see pictures of this new boat in the water, email me at : kensimpsonaz@ yahoo.com . Regards to all, Ken Simpson

Hi Wayne, Yes, the prototype weighs just over 100 pounds.  I must admit this is heavier than designed, but I used heavier stock than required in a few...
