Torrance Chinese School (TCS) was founded in 1989. It has over 500 students enrolled in almost 30 classes including grades K to 12, Chinese Conversation, Floral Arrangement, Ballroom Dance, & Tai-Chi. TCS is a non-profit institution, which belongs to all students and their parents. The school's admin staff, principal, board members and PSA consist of volunteer parents and friends of the community. All proceedings and decisions for the affairs of school are made in open and democratic forums. Parents, teachers and students are encouraged to join "torrancecs" Yahoo Group to actively participate in 2-way communication. It serves a different function than our official web site, www.torrancecs.com, where you will find official announcements, policies, & school rules. With "torrancecs" Yahoo Group, TCS will send email notification to remind members of the latest school news and events; you can influence school policies through topic discussion & poll voting.
