The biggest change since our last email is the birth of our sixth child - Ruby
Rose Vasel. She was born March 18th, and did NOT have red hair - which would
have been nice, considering what we named her.
Laura and Ruby are doing fine, and I'm finding it somewhat amazing the
difference between five and six girls. (I've given up ever having a boy.)
My parents were also able to visit us at the end of April. They were a huge
encouragement to me, and both of them were able to get involved in the
ministries that we have here. Also, it was a wonderful thing for the girls to
see their grandparents, something that hasn't happened in three years.
Uijongbu Baptist Church has been going through many changes lately. It's
certainly been a rollercoaster ride, but most importantly - a time to completely
trust in God and His provision.
At the end of this month, and throughout June, we will undergo a time of
transition. Many of our faithful members are leaving for other areas, being
transferred, etc. This is going to open up many holes at our church. Please
pray that God will bring new folks in to fill these ministries. Pray for those
who are transitioning to new ministries, that they would be as big a blessing
there as they've been to us here.
The Easy-English service for the Koreans is continuing to do well, and I can see
spiritual growth in many of those involved. Satan is attacking right and left,
however, and a lethargic attitude has gripped many in the church. Pray that
people would be energized as they serve God each week.
God continually provides the finances of the church. Money miraculously shows
up when we need it. To pay our rent over the past couple of months, I've cut my
salary, and pay for as many church needs from our support money. God provides -
for both me and the church, but pray that He will continue to do so, especially
as the Korean won is so low in value at this point in comparison to the American
dollar.

May God bless all of you! Don't forget, though - that prayer is the
most important thing you can give us!
