The Tombstone Trail is one of the longest running, best attended car club events in Minnesota. All you need is 2 people, a car, a pencil, a flashlight and a sense of adventure. We'll take you on a scavenger hunt around rural Minnesota that you won't forget. Be prepared to visit some strange places!
The competition is broken into classes, so you're always competing with people whose experience is similar to your own:
Class A: Everyone on the Seed A seeding list. Those people who have scored the most success on the Tombstone Trail.
Class B: Everyone on the Seed B seeding list. Those who have trophied on the Tombstone Trail.
Class C: Everyone else who has competed on a past Tombstone Trail.
Class D: Anyone who has never competed on the Tombstone Trail.
Class G: GPS or anything Goes, as you wish. Class G competitors are allowed to use GPS equipment and anything else prepared in advance - additional maps, past years' answers, etc.
Starting in 2007, the event will also be an SCCA National GTA rally with the following classes:
Class E: Equipped (using an auxiliary odometer).
Class S: Stock.
Class NG: Same as regional class G.
This group is for the organizers and competitors on the Tombstone Trail. It's our way of keeping in touch with you on an ongoing basis. We don't mail out individual flyers anymore, so if you join the Tombstone Trail group, you can receive notices of upcoming events.
The Tombstone Group is for official notices, communication and results, as well as for community discussion by its members. If you run the Tombstone Trail, you should really be on this group.
Visit the Tombstone Trail Web site at www.rallymasterpro.com/tombstone/. You can also register online there for the next Tombstone Trail.
See you in the cemeteries!
