Hi everybody.
I'm shy to introduce myself. I've had some interesting experiences
I'd like to discuss, and hope nobody minds my skipping the
introduction.
I've noticed when I look out into an open space in any given dimly
lit area I see many fibers of interconnected light woven throughout
the darkness in tangles like a cobweb. I've also seen many shadows
that seem to roll through the air like clouds and drift up from
ground level in waves or drift toward me from distant horizons. It
seems possibly something innate within myself that I'm seeing
projected onto the world around me, but what I've noticed appears to
be coming from outside of myself. The reason I've questioned whether
or not what I'm perceiving is innate within me is partially because
when I close my eyes I can still visualize the same fibers of light
surrounding me if I make a concentrated effort to see them.
I've been diagnosed with various mental, physical and sleep related
illnesses in the past, but I'm convinced what I'm perceiving is very
real and disparate from any hypnogagic, hypnopompic or audio/visual
hallucinations or delusions I've experienced in the past.
I was wondering what if I'm viewing is related in any way to subjects
discussed in Carlos Castanedas books.
I've also experienced hypnogagic and hypnopompic hallucinations where
I was visited by beings that came to me through the darkness and
caused for me to experience a state of sleep paralysis, and I've
encountered many other unexplainable phenomenon in my life. I'm
interested in seeing an explanation discovered to demystify these
experiences.
Accompanied with these experiences are many feelings and thoughts,
ranging from dread, awe and impending doom to concern for the future
of the human race and excitement that there is an important discovery
yet to be made. I'm not sure whether these feelings are reasonable or
not, but I'm not satisfied with the psychiatric explanations I've
received. I've been introduced to different shamans, new age healers
and masters of enlightenment and find what they have to say
interesting if not eccentric, but I'm convinced they don't have any
of the answers I'm looking for either. I'm interested in seeing an
explanation discovered to demystify these experiences, and bring them
practical meaning and use in my life.
Has anybody else here had similar experiences?
:)
