Because of family and work obligations I am scaling back my
involvement in the SERA (South Eastern Repeater Association). I simply
do not have the time to properly devote to the SERA.
Therefore I am currently seeking a qualified person for the position
of SERA Tennessee East Region Frequency Coordinator. The East region
of Tennessee covers from I-65 east to the Eastern Tennessee state
line. Qualifications are as follows:
1) Must be a licensed Ham operator of at least Technician Class.
2) Must be a member of the SERA
3) Must own or be the Trustee of a Tennessee SERA coordinated repeater.
4) Must live in Tennessee in the coordination area (east of I-65).
5) Must have some background in repeater operation.
6) Must be a friendly person, of open mind, willing to work with
Tennessee repeater owners to solve coordination issues.
7) Must be accessible to the public, at reasonable hours, (phone or
email, etc.) to solve repeater coordination issues.
8) Having a broad band internet connection (DSL, cable, etc.) would be
a plus (some SERA work requires downloads of files).
The position is strictly volunteer. You do not receive any compensation.
If selected you will receive training and software to be able to
coordinate repeaters in the East region of Tennessee.
NOTE: selection will require being approved by the SERA voting body
(SERA state's directors and vice directors).
If you are, or you know of someone, who would qualify and like to
take on this position, please send me a short resume to: ka4bni@...
Thank you,
Alan McClain - KA4BNI
