Society for Technical Innovation in Service (TIS) is a Non-Profit, Non-Remunerative, Non-Election Social Service Organisation registered under the Karnataka Societies Registration Act, 1960 (Reg. No: 239 / 2002-03). TIS was inaugurated on 12th June 2002.

MAIN OBJECTIVES OF TIS

(i) To promote Social Service in the Society.

(ii) To establish Research and Development Center to promote the Technical Innovation in Social Service.

(iii) To utilise Technology and Innovation for the purpose of serving the Society.

(iv) To promote Service Project Management, Project Technical Documentation, Presentation and Reporting.

(v) To undertake Community Service, Professional Service, International Service, Medical Service, Engineering Service avenues to achieve the object of the TIS.

(vi) To set up a documentation center of collection and dissemination of research papers in Social and Sociological studies (subject wise).

(vii) To establish Library and Reading Room.

(viii) To hold seminars and discussions.

(ix) To syndicate features on various subjects of common interest like Science and Technology, Health and Nutrition, Appropriate Technology, Energy Conservation, Environment, Bio - Technology, Civic Issues - Rights and Duties, Media - its Socialisation, Education - Linked directly to improve quality of life, Conscientization of people and Social and Sociological Issues, Value Systems, Political Systems and Awareness, Children and their care, Geriatric care - challenging old age with creativity, specific and general education programmes for Vocational Employment Schemes for Women, Geriatrics, the Handicapped etc., Legal Aid and Awareness.

(x) To bring out News Letter or Magazine, Monographs, from time to time on selected, time - relevant topics.
