"Debi's Tips-and-Quips"

Dear Readers ...

I found myself scrambling for some last-minute gift ideas
this week that didn't require much running around (life's
been a little crazy lately around our house). I came up
with a few ideas that I thought I'd share with Tips-and-Quips
readers in case you're also strapped for holiday ideas this
year:

1) Gift certificates (music, movies, video rentals, clothing,
bookstores, online shops)

2) Homemade gift coupons for personal services (back
rubs, rake leaves, clean room, prepare dessert or dinner)

3) Homebaked goodies (cookies, snack cakes)

4) Family passes to local attractions (theme park, zoo,
aquarium, art museum, ski passes, etc.)

5) Holiday mug filled with teas, coffee packets, candy,
cocoa

6) Family photos (framed or in a small photo album from
the dollar store)

7) Computer-generated personalized calender (include
photos of kids, pets, amd reminders about birthdays,
anniversaries, etc.)

8) Family recipe booklet (either just your own immediate
family's favorites, or collect recipes from extended family,
as well ... can be simply stapled, or bound at local office
supply store, or you can just punch a series of holes down
one edge and then sew the pages together with yarn, ribbon,
or decorative thread)

Happy holidays to you and yours!

Simply Yours,
Debi
