Description

This group is for those who have and/or want something more than bare plywood, but aren't concerned about 'realistic' scenery; in other words, we are playing toy trains here. For all of you Lionel, Marx, MTH, K-Line, etc. operators who have a building or ten. Or have tinplate accessories.
For security reasons, ALL new members need to be approved and unless you are known to owner/moderators, you are on moderated status until your first posting. Other than that, the base rules are try to stay somewhere near the topic and 'play nice'.

OK, so it isn't tin, and it does come a mite closer to "model railroading' than 'playing with toy trains', but "Knowledge is useless unless it is shared".

Building a mountain.
Thanks to all who responded. Looks like I'll be using the 1 inch house sheathing foam layered or broken to form the mountain shapes, painted with laytex
