Traleg Kyabgon Rinpoche
Mindfulness & Cognitive Therapy

10-day Retreat
August 14-23

Traleg Kyabgon will compare the Buddhist understanding of mind with Western psychology and psychotherapy and examine thence of the Buddhist and Western approaches to the mind with an emphasis on cognitive therapy. Rinpoche's erudition and thorough understanding of Western attitudes and cultures make for a stimulating and innovative contemplation on how best to live a happy and fulfilling life.

Born in Eastern Tibet in 1955, Traleg Kyabgon was recognized as the ninth incarnation of the Traleg lineage and enthroned as Abbot of Thrangu Monastery. He is the author of such well-loved books as The Essence of Buddhism, Mind at Ease and The Practice of Lojong: Cultivating Compassion through Training the Mind.

The retreat begins at 9.00am Friday morning and ends at 5.00pm Sunday afternoon.
Dormitory-style accommodation is available at E-Vam Institute. Participants are not required to attend the full ten days of the course. Please contact the office for further information.
