Threshold, n.: An entrance or exit point, the place or point of beginning or outset, the point at which a stimulus is of sufficient intensity to begin to produce an effect.

Threshold is a Bristolian community associated with the network Spirited Exchanges. The group is based on the recognition that many people of all ages and backgrounds are struggling with issues related to faith, church and institutional religions. We strive to be a safe environment for people to be people. We do this by adhering to the following principles:

• We are not a church.
• We do not try to convert people.
• We do not try to define problems or solutions.
• We do not have a monopoly on truths or certainties.
• We have no leader or 'founding members'.
• We will not construct barriers to join or barriers to leave.

This is because we believe it is fine to let God defend God.
