For what it's worth, and I'm going to do it religeously from now on, check the
Mast step on your rig for cracks. My V-32 was dis-masted because the wood
cracked and I lost the adjusting screw. On my new mast I will re-enforce this by
binding up the mast the length of the screw hole. Nothing worse than beating to
windward and have your mast fall. The wind wasn't that bad either.
