This is an alternate universe, where we answer the question "what if?" What if Ring and Bearer suddenly and terrifyingly passed beyond all knowledge? The Ring is out there, and it will be found- but by whom? The allies of the West want to destroy it. The Steward of Gondor wants to weild it in battle. Gollum simply wants his Precious back. Saruman wants it to set himself up as Dark Lord. A new and unamed threat rises in the Far South, seeking the power of the Ring for its own dark purposes. And, lastly, but certainly not least, Sauron, its Lord and Master, bends all his considerable resources to recovering precious thing Isuldur stole from him long ago.
