"In The Name of Allah The Most Beneficent The Most Merciful" is the
standing phrase of Koran, for all past books of Sufism and perhaps you
have heard it or read it on CNN or websites around the net. These are
the collections of 4 Sufi Grand Sheikh's study of the standing phrase:
Ibn Arabi, Baqli, Tastari and Qoshairi.

What does this phrase supposed to mean to a Sufi? Why there are
letters missing in it? Why Sufis studied this one phrase for
centuries? What is the beneficent? Mercy from where and for whom? Is
Allah a word like God or Lord in English? Why this phrase is
repeatedly used every place in Sufi literature? Are there numbers
associated with these letters? Are these letters coded alphabets for
other concepts?

I am a Western Sufi Morid (Seeker) why should I learn these words?
Aren't these the same words used in many of the Sufi chants? Do they
alter the state of the heart? Can I understand their Sufi meaning
without learning Arabic? Won't the proper reading of these words
awaken a higher consciousness?

I am a Muslim Sufi Morid, I use this phrase each time I pray or read
Koran! Why should I learn more about it? It is simply starting with
the God's name, isn't it? Could it be that I do not understand what I
read in Koran or what I prayed since I do not know this phrase? Could
it be that without full understanding of this phrase Koran is just
paper & ink? Is that why it is placed on almost every chapter's heading?

I am an atheist Sufi Morid, does this phrase explain what I can not
believe in? Is it possible that something is veiling my understanding?
Are these veils within these words? Are the unveilings within these
words? Can these words explain to me the nature of these veils?
