The Sophia Circle is an initiative to provide a platform for bishops consecrated in the Apostolic Succession who hold an esoteric view on Christianity. Each bishop may belong to some or other church organisation or be independent. However, the Sophia Circle regards each of its members as operating autonomously and does not bind any of its members to any dogma, doctrine or practice. Intercommunion or agreement between bishops or the organisations to which they belong is neither essential nor required. The Sophia Circle is primarily a non-prescriptive circle of sharing and helping one another without necessarily having to agree with the particular practice of any bishop.

Membership of this DISCUSSION GROUP is open to ALL who wish to join in the discussion and are prepared to do so in a spirit of openness and respect. Membership to the CIRCLE is open to all bishops who are able to show that they have been consecrated into the Apostolic Succession and who agree with the general outline provided in the paragraph above.
