My veil from RGS had a light cotton cap with elastic at the back that caught all
of your hair.
The veil had a piece that was rectangular and the width of your head. It
consisted of several layers of cloth stiched together which made it lie flat.
The short end of this piece was attched to the front of the veil. This long
piece would hand off the back of your head so that the side of the veil was
close to your face and the back hung away from your neck. It was a nice smooth,
flattering look and easy to keep clean as the cap soiled more quickly than the
veil. This cuts now on needing a plastic or hard net piece for the veil.
I hope this helps.

Carmelite veil (without a form underneath)? What would the pattern be for this?
Is it just a large rectangle of fabric? Any specific dimensions?

reference somewhere made as to "mesh" that goes underneath, but no real
description of how to piece the whole thing together.
