Re: GT6000 6-speed Transaxle removal?
Easiest way to pull the transaxle is to pull the seat, rear fender unit and gas tank. You can then see everything and get to everything much easier.

If I remember right, I unscrewed the ball from the end of the lever, dropped the left side of the transaxle and it slid right out when I raised the frame. Once

That does sound very similar to this problem. By chance do you remember how you disconnected the High/Low lever from the transaxel? I'm try to get at it from

I've had a situation with mine where it locked in second gear high. I had to kick the High/low lever into it's nuetral setting and slam the gear lever back
