Good as Gold - Olympic Torch Relay Run for JWR (January 15, 2002)Founder Kevin Richardson carried the Olympic Flame in honor of JWR, to raise awareness for environmental issues worldwide, and to honor the memory of his father. Kevin ran his leg of the Olympic Torch Relay in downtown Los Angeles. The 2002 Olympics mark only the fifth time the Olympic Torch Relay has been conducted in the United States. The Relay has been a tradition since 1952. Symbolizing spirit, knowledge and life, the event delivers the Olympic Flame from Greece to the host country - this year, Salt Lake City, Utah. JWR Auction Item Supports Waterkeeper Alliance (January 6, 2002)Through JWR, Kevin Richardson donated a once-in-a-lifetime auction item to raise funds for Robert Kennedy Jr.'s Waterkeeper Alliance. With the winning bid of $8,000, one lucky person won a chance to sit in on a recording session as the Backstreet Boys record their next album.
