This Group is for Malaysians who practice in the Theravada form of Buddhism and for others who have an interest in the practice and development of Theravada Buddhism in Malaysia. Specifically this Group shall enable participants to:
1. discuss Dhamma
2. discuss issues relating to Theravada Buddhism or of interest to the Theravada community in Malaysia
3. promote and co-ordinate Theravada activities in Malaysia
4. increase dialogue and unity among Theravadins in Malaysia
5. share resources ( information database, skills sharing - for e.g organising events, giving dhamma talks, dhammaduta, sunday schools, etc)
6. distribute information (meditation retreats, dhamma talks, etc)
7. get to know each other.

General Guidelines
1. This Group is really for Malaysian Theravadins and those interested in Theravada in Malaysia only.
2. While honest and liberal discussion is encouraged, please do control your emotions and refrain from flaming. Being a Malaysian egroup, kindly bear in mind the laws of the country which extends to cyberspace. Please refrain from posting anything offensive to Islam or inflammatory to racial and religious sensitivities.
3. Members are free to upload events into the calender, post and download files and pictures. Messages and bookmarks will be available for public viewing. Only members with Yahoo IDs can access these facilities.
4. Membership is moderated from time to time. If you wish to join, please state your city, country and your reason for joining this group. We shall appreciate if you may introduce yourself to the group immediatly after joining.

The moderator reserves the right to do anything he deems fit to maintain the utility of tmy including terminating memberships, and to delete files, photos, links, etc. uploaded to the site. Postings are not moderated and the group owner is not to be held responsible for any comments made by any member.
