There's a website that allows people to save personal information and
share it with friends. There are actually several such sites, but
Facebook is fairly new and better than more.

The site allows you to see people who live near you, who work at the
same company, who went to the same school, or who are in your personal
address book. You can invite any of them to be a friend, and if they
accept, you both can see each other's information.

The site also allows you to create Facebook Groups which anyone in
Facebook can join. I've just created one called "Theosophical
Network". If you are interested in meeting others interested in
Theosophy online, I'd suggest joining Facebook and then joining that
group.
