To the Members of the General Council of the Theosophical Society

Request to cancel the present elections on the grounds of NON-CLARITY
and MANIPULATION of information related to the candidates.

The non-ethical position that many sections assumed, breaking the
democratic process is non acceptable, especially the letter issued by
the General Secretaries of the French and USA Sections. There are
also rumors that other Sections also followed the same policy.

For this reason we request to the International Council to consider
the following:

The cancellation of the present elections on the grounds of
MANIPULATION and retrieviement of information related to the
candidates.

Medical Certificates:

If there is a need for one candidate to present a medical
certificate, then the other one must present one as well.

Adyar

If any candidate cannot for any reason be living in Adyar, such
should also be communicated to all.

Staff:

The following also must be announced, by the candidates due to the
problematic nature of the current elections:

Vice-president
International Secretary
Treasure

The members of the Theosophical Society have the right to know, the
structure o the administrative staff that will help the President to
run the Society, as both candidates are not young, the help of a good
staff is extremely relevant and due to the present circumstances,
transparency is necessary.

We also condemn the following letters regarding to the candidates
issued by the following persons:

Mrs Elvira Carbonel - (December 18, 2007 )
Mrs Betty Bland – (March 19, 2008)
Mr Pedro Oliveira – (March 22, 2008)

We hope a more transparent and ethical electoral process will take
place, for the sake of the Theosophical Society.
