Hi there everybody!
What a year it was for me. However there is not much activity on
www.letmestayforaday.com <
http://www.letmestayforaday.com> , my life in
The Netherlands continued offline pretty hectic last year.
Since june last year I became a marketing manager at the office of the
largest computer club in The Netherlands with over 180,000 members to
serve.
Thanks to that job I could leave the pub I had worked at over a year and
get myself a good place to live in Amsterdam.
In other words: I bought an apartment! Not that I am suddenly rich or
something, but a steady job gives a steady chance for a mortgage and
that means: housing! And I don't know how it is at your place, but right
now buying seems to be cheaper than renting an appartment!
About the book
The book selling business in The Netherlands has stopped last year. I
bought the last one hondred books of the total 10,000 copies which I now
sell to Dutch readers online (7,50 euros signed) and that was it with
it.
There still is a mighty little chance there will be a Letmestayforaday
book in English for all you loyal old time fans to read and enjoy.
Somewhere in my country an old man is translating the book in his spare
time in a way I am just flushed away. I have read the first chapters in
English and I wish I wrote English thát well myself!
Readers wanted
So that's another reason to write you this little message: I am looking
for some great proof readers of a chapter of the book Letmestayforaday
in English. I am looking for people that say more than 'great stuff,
dude' and could give some great positive and negative feedback.
Hoping not all you +1,500 members of this YahooGroup wil admit
yourselves, I hope I can select a few people from various corners of the
world to give their opinion of the contents. If you are interested,
write me a 5,000 words essay within two hours and you are in.
Or just send me an e-mail at email[at]ramonstoppelenburg.com
<mailto:
email@...> and say you have been waiting for
over three years to get to read some tidbits of something that might
become an English publication of the Dutch book. Great, huh?
But Ramon, don't you travel anymore?
Oh yes I do. But I have become a bit down to earth nowadays and have to
take days off work to get somewhere and the first thing to do at
any-overthere is to relax. So if you are by any chance in the town of
Hurghada in Egypt from January 4 to the 11th, let's smoke some
waterpipes!
Have a great time and enjoy 2007 with all the luck that comes by!
