I don't have children yet myself. I joined this list while I was pregnant and
unfortunately we lost the baby during the first trimester. I stick around
though because we are still planning on children and I'll need the tips I pick
up from you ladies. :)

I made baby garb for a good friend's baby and for the pattern I picked up a
commercial pattern for a simple non-knit baby shirt. I just cut the sleeves out
attached to the body section a la a t-tunic and it came out perfectly. It was
really easy because the pattern already had all the baby proportions, I just
made minor changes to make it look period.
