To Hunting Friends, Clients and Authors of Hunting Stories,

We've had an "African Hunting Story Contest" on our website
www.kalahari-trophy-hunting.com .

The prize for the best story entered on site before June 30, 2008 is a
hunt with us in the Kalahari of Namibia.
       It includes

Five (5) days of FREE accommodation
for the hunter and his/her partner.
The following FREE Trophies to hunt:
       1 Gemsbok, 1 Springbok, 1 Steenbok, 1 Duiker

       (See detail on
http://www.kalahari-trophy-hunting.com/hunting-stories.html)

Well, the results are in. We received all our judges' points for every
story and the computer has done the calculation.

One of the judges said in the mail (containing his results) the following:

"It is a privilege to read all these stories, but a punishment to judge
it.
Every story is excellent and everyone who reads it, needs only a tiny bit
of imagination to enjoy the hunt with the author."
                                                                       ~ Lionel,
Western Cape, South Africa

This was our experience also. It really is a pity that we can not give
this prize to everyone of you as authors. So...

It is the privilege of Uitspan Hunting, Namibia, to pronounce the winner
of our African Hunting Story Contest:

Mr. Roger D. Libby with "You Only Go Around Once..."
       (Read this story at
http://www.kalahari-trophy-hunting.com/you-only-go-around-once.html )

The first 12 stories placed are:

First: You Only Go Around Once... by Roger D. Libby (76 points)
Second: Third Times a Charm by Steven Huettner (72.5 points)
Third: My Favorite Hunt by Karen Eaton (71 points)
Fourth: There's an Impala You Want to Shoot by Roger D. Libby (70
points)

Eleventh: Namibian Gold by Steve Hoffman (60 points)

I have 670 acres for lease in Dougherty co. close to Mitchell co. line about 5
miles south of Albany on Hwy. 19 that I will be breaking down into2 different
hunting clubs. All memberships will be $1600 each.I have a 320 acre club and a
350 acre club that I will be putting 5 members on each. Very nice property, lots
of turkeys and deer. Woods consist of plantation pines, creek bottoms and
hardwoods on property. Nice woods to quail hunt on also. I will be taking care
of planting and providing seeds for all food plots on all three tracts.
Approximately 600 sq. ft. metal building with power, water, sewer. Also can hook
up campers. If interested please contact me by pm or email.

We are selling dove field memberships for our private 90 acre dove field. Over
400 doves killed in one hunt alone last year. Last year we only planted 50 acres
and consistently saw 500 to 700 birds each hunt. $175.00 per membership.

Dove field will be planted in sunflower, dove proso, corn, & millet. We will
chop and mow as feed is needed for the birds leaving strips for cover. Power
line runs through the center of the field for the entire distance. There is a
small pond in the center of the field where the birds like to water. This field
has it ALL! Lots of good positions for all.

This field is planted strictly as a dove field and is in a major flyway with an
excellent history for a lot of birds. If you join one dove field this year it
needs to be this one. There is a pecan orchard near the field that the birds
like to roost in.

We will shoot this field when the birds are there. We will not gaurantee 2
shoots per week or anything like that. The field has a history of birds being
there consistently. For $175 per person, you can't ask for a better price.
Regardless of the number of memberships sold, the whole 90 acres will be planted
and the field will be shot. We shoot this field every year. I would just like
some help covering the cost of planting the field this year.

I am now offering duck memberships for a 250 acre duck pond in Brooks, Co. Ga.
The pond is a private pond I am leasing directly through the land owner. There
is a steady stream of a minimum of 600-800 woodies in this pond. LOT of open
water with some scattered cypress trees throughout the pond. There is also lot
of open water amongst some thicker trees in the back of the pond. There are some
other scattered species of ducks other than woodies in this pond. This pond was
only shot 3-4 times last year by one guy and two of his friends. We will plant
some rice, millet, etc. around the edges of the pond. In the future, the land
owner is going to dig a pond off the back of this lake to plant and flood also.
We will shoot a minimum of 4-6 shoots per year. All shoots will be organized
shoots conducted by me. I will call every member every time we plan a shoot with
at least a 7 day notice. We plan to build a few floating blinds, some around the
edges of the lake
also. We will have designated spots for you to bring your own small boats with
electric motors only. Memberships will be $750 per person per year with the
right to bring a guest each time you hunt. Your $750.00 buys you a two gun
position. If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact me. I can
show the Duck pond at anytime. We will post pictures early next week.

Thanks, Lyle

Do you or someone you know have a wild hog problem in North, South
Carolina, or nearby Georgia? Wild Hogs destroy crops, young livestock
and quail & turkey nests. They also compete directly with local deer
populations for all food sources. Hogs can be an elusive and cunning
animal to control and hunt. Consider letting myself and a companion
help thin that herd thats giving you fits FREE of charge. We leave the
land like we find it and are both licenced hunters. Your property must
be in an area where high power rifles can safely and legally be fired.
We live here in Columbia, SC. Please just email me at
pir8football@... and title it "HOGS" so it does not get sent to my
spam folder. Thanks, Mitch Wells

my fiance found this dog a while ago hungry and scared. i would say
that she is under a year. i have given up on trying to find her owner
as all of the signs i put up were taken down within a day and no one
ever called. i would say that she is purebred, and i got her spayed
the other day as i do with all of the animals we take in and cannot
find thier original owners. she seems to have a decent hunting
instinct (though i really know nothing about that) her brain seems to
be mostly in her nose. we are now trying to find a home for her,
somewhere that she will have a job. she is high energy and needs
something to do. healthy and has 1/2 her shots, i just havent done the
other ones yet. email me at punkjordane@... if you might be
interested.

Hello,

If any of you need or know someone that is still looking for a place to
rent for deer hunting season. I have a beautiful place to rent in the
Antigo/ Bass Lake area. This was my father's home. He was an AVID
outdoorsman and I grew up in Colorado and Alaska just so he could hunt
and fish. He moved here several years ago to be close to my son and I.
This year was supposed to be my son's first year to carry a weapon and
go with Grandpa to find the Big One. Unfortunately my father passed
away last month and I would like to hold onto the place he bought and
remodeled. I am trying to rent it by the week/weekend year round. I
attached a link with a few pics. It is on 4 acres all lakefront
property and the snowmobile trail runs through the back of the property
as well. Please contact me if you have any questions.. I can email
more info as well as pricing.. Thank you, Colleen

hunting rights would go to the owners. We have several years

Dear Hunters

Romania offers a great biological and zoological variety fact that
leads to extraordinary possibilities for practicing hunting taking
in consideration that. The total hunting area is 23,500 million ha
and it can be practiced in all seasons, in the periods settled by
law.

The brown bear and the black nanny goat have brought Romania into
the European top of the hunting trophy. The most representative
species from this point of view are the brown bear, stag, wild boar,
roebuck, black nanny goat, spoon bill, capercaillie, field rabbit,
pheasant, wolf, lynx and wild cat.

There are over 30 species of mammals and over 50 species of birds
that can be hunted.

Adress
Series and passport number
Number of the hunting pass
Number of the insurance policy

Species that one wants to hunt
Point of entrance in the country
Point of leaving the country
If dogs are used, than the number of the dogs' registration and
breed

The type of the weapon

The hunting season in Romania are:

FIELDFARES - from 01/11 to 15/03
In northwest Romania, from November to March there are lots of
fieldfares, concentrated around the vineyards and orchards. As soon
as the cold weather arrives you can find large populations of
fieldfares around the high trees forests. They can also be seen on
the valleys with wild fruits.

GEESE - from 01/11 to 20/02
The best hunting conditions of all Europe are in Romania. From the
1st of November to the end of February, million of geese append
there winter in the Romanian fields. The hunting is in the sprouted
fields or in freshly harvested cornfields, where geese come for
food.

PARTRIDGES, PHEASANTS and RABBITS - from 15/10 to 31/01
Our hunting grounds are slightly hilly, especially in our own
reservations in Arad, Timisoara and Teleorman, swarming with
numerous partridges and can only be hunted in October when they
mature to adults. Rabbit hunting season opens November 1st.

WILD BOARS with beaters - from 01/08 to 31/01
If you want to hunt giant wild boars, then Romania is indeed the
country. Hunting is exciting, when you can hunt wild boars over 300
kg.

DUCKS AND GEESE on Danube - from 15/09 to 15/03
For this season also, we have the pleasure to present to you our
hunting ducks and geese programme in the Delta of Danube. This year
the programme will be enriched in an extensive measure by our new
HOUSE BOATS.

DUCKS outside Danube Delta - from 15/08 to 15/03
There are 4 zones of hunting to approximately 8 km. distance one
from another. We had predisposed huts and cuvegge for being able to
hunt to spin.

FALLOW DEER AND MOUFFLONS - from 01/10 to 31/12
In the presidential reservations around Bucharest fallow deer are
found in the South of Romania and make for good trophies.

WOLF and LYNX - from 15/09 to 15/05
On our mountains you can find the highest concentration of
carnivores in Europe. In spite of the high concentration, this game
isn't easy.

WOODCOCKS - 05/03 al 10/04
After years of experience, our company chose the best hunting fields
for woodcock. Our fields stretch from the Carpathian Mountains all
the way to Baragan and The Black Sea, thus incorporating all the
great areas of woodcock populations, with the best of weather
conditions.

BEAR - from 15/03 to 15/05
In present the largest bear population of all Europe is found in
Romania and it has been kept constantly under control since 1990. By
constant control for the past 10 years the number of bears has

Hi... I was wondering if any of you out there know of anywhere that
me and my finace can hunt... We have a couple of different guns, and
would love to be on population control(LOL) We have not really had
that much luck on any kind of game. BUT I am a new hunter and have
yet to take anything, but my fiance is aching to take something...
So i am looking for maybe someone that owns land and looking for a
hunting buddy, or maybe anyone that could give us somewhere to hunt...

thanks for the help..

I hope to meet most of you here in the coming year. Thanks for any

To all interested hunters,

3 Bridges Deer Hunting Club located in Littleton, NC, 25 minutes west
on I158 from I95 at Roanoke Rapids, NC. (2 1/2 hr drive from Virginia
Beach), is seeking new members...only because we voted out dog
hunting and a lot of members left because of it.

This club has a LOT to offer-

About 10,000 acres
Charter calls for about 70 members, currently have about 55.
200 DMAP tags, first come first serve.. We are a checking station as
well.
Season is about a month longer than Virginia's.
LOTS of deer, turkey, small game (small game cannot be hunted during
deer season)
Hunting over BAIT (usually corn) is allowed / encouraged
ALL bucks must be 6 points or $50 fine to club. Can take almost
unlimited does.
Terrain includes clear cuts, hardwoods, pine stands, creeks, 95 %
upland
Put up your own stands, or purchase/repair those that are for sale.
LARGE 2 story hunting lodge with all modern accommodations
Campers and small "lodges" on property are for sale.
Skinning shed and Walk-in Cooler
Leave your camper year round if you like, hookups provided (mostly)
Bow Season, Muzzle loader Season, Shotgun and Rifle (regular gun)
Season
ATVs allowed, necessary in some areas, not necessary in most areas.
STILL HUNTING ONLY. No organized hunts. You shoot it, You keep it.
As of 11/22/04, approximately 75 deer have been taken. Average deer
is about 125 lbs (SWAG)

$500 per year dues, must sell (or purchase) 100 raffle tickets at $1
apiece.
$420 Stock Fee must be paid within 3 years (and is refunded to you if
you leave the club)
3 workdays per year, can make up your missed day at other times
convenient to you.
Unlimited guest hunting for $25 per day.
if you want to join for THIS season you can from Thanksgiving on for
one half of the $500 dues. ($250).
General membership meeting in Feb.

I have received a lot of phone calls and emails about this, and I
have a hard time responding to them all, so I have attempted to
answer all questions in this memo. Do NOT send email to my yahoo
account. The best thing you can do if you are interested is just GO
TO THE CLUB

The best thing you can do if you are interested is just GO TO THE
CLUB. You can check it out and meet with key people. There will be
someone there to help you any day of the week for the rest of the
season. Someone will show you around, etc. As a non member you can
hunt ONE DAY for $25. Most new people go to the club prepared to pay
their dues.so they can hunt a few days right away.

Directions- From I-95 at Roanoke Rapids, NC, take Route 158 west
about 20
miles to Littleton, NC. In "downtown" Littleton, take a left on Route
4. Go
approx a mile through residential 35 mph area to where the road
splits (at a
"V"). Route 4 goes to the left. You go to the right. You are 4 miles
from the club at this point.Go through another 35 mph zone, then a
55, then
a 45, and then a 55. In the second 55 mph zone you will cross a creek
bridge
(this will be the second bridge you cross). The clubhouse is 2 stories
surrounded by campers immediately after the bridge on the right side.

Before you drive to the club, youi might want to check to be sure
memberships are still available. Contact me at 3Bridges@...
or contact either Ted Burns (treasurer) at 336 643 7320 or Ted Wiley
(president) at 919 662 8886.

Thank you for you interest.
Tom Perkins

p.s. I am a new member myself, so I am not positive all of the
above "membership" information is totally correct.
