It is now late Summer on Watership Down and although the days are longer and warmer and flay is plentiful, the rabbits of Watership warren have terrible dangers to face. An evil hare called Mercury has become a threat to every rabbit in the area. He is a powerful and merciless foe and delights in killing and torturing innocent rabbits. He has already terrorised the population of Stonetunnel and now he has moved on to Watership Down. Everyone, even former enemies, will have to work together to have a chance of defeating him.
