Hello group,
Here is a great site, one can find any birthdays of any famous people

http://www.famousbirthdays.com

Does anybody have the hour of his birth ??

Casting a solar map, he had more than a Saturn return!
Tr.Mars squared Natal Mercury, and Mars;
Tr. Saturn opposition to Natanl Venus
Tr. Venus and Pluto sqaring Natal Mars and Mercury
Tr.Neptune and Mercury squaring Radical Uranus.

Poor guy !

It's also aligned with Alioth. He built up a treasure
(Thuban) and then boom, he was gone (Alioth).

"Malevolence, destructiveness and an uncontrollable
temper," according to Robson. I haven't followed his
life closely, but I haven't heard of him getting into
any fights. Unless this anger turned inward and took
the form of depression. Or he was with some sort of
bad company: Pallas is also aligned with Nashira, Juno
with Algenib and Pluto with Seginus.

Menkar (Alpha Cetus) is on the Midheaven as Jupiter is rising in his horoscope.  I've found some connections with this star in the horoscopes of people who disappeared (died) at the height of their fame, or (more typically) became famous (or more famous) *because* they disappeared. The young man (whose name escapes me right at the moment) who disappeared into the wilds of Alaska and died of starvation became famous because of the book and movie "Into the Wild" (Chris McCandless!  That's it ...); so too did Timothy Treadwell, who became famous as the "Grizzly Man" who spent 14 years living with the Alaskan grizzy bears before being attacked and partially eaten by one.  (Hmmm ... maybe Menkar just isn't a safe star to take to Alaska ...)

I've got Menkar aligned with the Ascendant. I've been
near horses a few times (somebody used to keep theirs
in the field right behind my house, along with beef
cattle), but I've never ridden a horse. I've always
been kind of leery of horses, cows, big dogs like
Saint Bernards, and any other kind of large animal. Or
some smaller animals like pit bulls. Pit bulls are
supposed to be good pets when treated right, but we
know what they can do to people if they decide to
attack.

Maybe Menkar's trying to tell me something.

Hi Mark and all,

Well I had to look up Menkar, its not especially a hot button in my own chart.  Almost two degrees out from opposing my Sun/Moon midpoint, isn't that rather indirect for a star?

I remember riding a horse around a corral only once and being so nervous about it I never wanted to try again.  And cows... yikes, we drove out into a cow pasture on a friend's farm, I wouldn't get out of the car.  And the bull got real curious about me, sitting there in the car, and began muzzling all over the window and rocking the car... I was scared!  My friends thought it was hilarious, that bull was way too interested in me.

I was bitten by a dog once as a child, but he knew I was afraid, I think, and gave me a nip.  Now I have dogs, cats, birds of my own... smaller animals, for sure, no cows though.

Sincerely, Sherri

Well that's interesting Mark, because so far from what I've seen, Menkar active in a horoscope suggests an attraction to animals.  Particularly large, mythic animals (whales--an obvious connection, bears, wolves ...).  More so even than animals though, Menkar has in many cases seemed to be connected to people who are attracted to putting themselves at the mercy of elements beyond their control--the wilderness and all of its ecstasies and dangers particularly.  These are only observations of mine so far though and I'm not sure of their full validity yet ... (often, though by no means always, a definite preference for one's own company is evident when Menkar is hanging around, a need to escape from people--taking off "into the wild" is one way of doing this, but the unprepared risk starvation or becoming the dinner of grizzlies I guess).

And again, as in the case of Heath Ledger, becoming famous because one disappeared seems to be one of the star's themes.  Which of course doesn't mean you all with Menkar in your charts are going to disappear!  It's just--the star seems to show up regularly in the charts of those who reached fame by disappearing.  Again, so far, just a casual observation ...

I've a friend who lives way out in the boondocks of New Mexico.  To get to her house (a straw-bale house) you've got to drive down a "road" that is essentially a two-track that crosses a cattle ranch.  The road actually goes right through the pastures (no fence dividing road from pasture, as one always sees here in the Midwest), as cattle guards at the points where the road passes into the pastures keeps the cattle in.

The very first time I ever went there I became enchanted by the beautiful black cattle  with elegant, curving horns which dotted the ranch.  I just had to get out and pet the "cows."  I never actually pet one of the cattle because as I approached one of them lowered his head and gave a rather thoughtful (I thought) paw or two of the ground.  Decided I'd let myself be satisfied with photos.

When I reached my friends house I told her about the cattle and my attempt to pet one.  And one of the bull's reactions.  She mentioned, very casually, that the cattle are a breed called Corriete and in Mexico are bred for the bull ring.  Once she mentioned that I realized why the cattle looked so exotic and yet also familiar--I'd seen them in bullfighting pictures!

Trish (No, I don't have Menkar paran anything in my chart ...)

Hi MArk,

Regarding Heath Ledger,I read in another forum that he was born at
6.30 am.

Another interesting thing, I read the map of a man, who has Deneb
conjunct his Jupiter, and Chiron in the second house.
I asked him if he had been bitten by dogs in his childhood.
Well well he was so shocked ! how did you know ? he asked ?
He was bitten, and today at the age of 46 he has a " dog issue "and
trauma, would not go close to dogs, or let his children have one at
home !!
Imazing !

Gaby

I think I just mentioned the field behind my house
that had the horse and the cows in it. Several times
in the past the cows have escaped and wandered into my
yard (but they've never bothered me, aside from
leaving cow patties on the grass). There are also deer
around where I live; they're properly shy toward human
beings.

Any animal weighing several hundred pounds or more or
with the potential to be vicious is not to be messed
with.

He was bitten, and today at the age of 46 he has a " dog issue "and

Deneb, Deneb Adige = Alpha Cygni.

Dheneb (with an "h"), Deneb Okab = Zeta Aquilae.

Adding the astronomical designations (Bayer,
Flamsteed, Argelander, catalog numbers) like I do
helps keep them all straight, too.

I also use 1 00' but will allow a little bit more if the circumstances seem to warrant it.

Outside of the fact that they contain weed seeds, cow pats should be good for your yard!  Free fertlizer, yay.
