I have several cases of heavyweights and artillery shells as well as
regular multi-shot items.
of corse I own a small store and will sell 75% of it.
I have been testing fireworks for the past 4 weeks.
I highly reccomend the new black cat heavyweight called Green with
envy

I've been looking at some of the M-80 knockoff crackers, and was
wondering how loud they are? I don't care about their explosive power
all that much, but if they are louder than any of my Rollercoaster
brand 1.5-inchers I might buy some.

M-60's are pretty loud. For regular firecrackers plain black cats
are probably the best. The loudest crackers i've used are Orion
Brand "Safety Crackers" they are the same thing as water dynamite.

Another great "banger" for you all.

Take a large soda bottle, fill 1\8 full of dry Ice, then fill 1\2
with water, screw cap on and RUN. These things will blow hands off
and blow holes in the ground if done just right.

HELLO FROM THE VOID!!!

OK ok ok.... I know it's been about four years since I started this
Yahoo! Group, and three years since I checked in with the club. But
career changes, relocation, marriage, and children will cause a shift
in one's priorities. When I left the club on its own back in 2000,
there were less than 20 members; now there are 60. Bravo!

I tried to change all the appropriate emails and data for me, but it
is such a collosal SNAFU with Yahoo... they are asking me for
passwords to email addresses I haven't had since 1999!! So for
everybody's information, my email is PIJoeFlorida@....

Yes, I was the same Joe who was selling Class 1.4G fireworks on eBay
for a year at insanely low prices before I (and a couple other ardent
eBay sellers) lost an ugly battle with eBay about whether or not 1.4G
fireworks are "illegal." According to Federal Law, they are perfectly
legal for sale and usage (as per manufacturer's intention and
instruction) throughout the USA. Note, your state or municipality
may have additional restrictions, but Uncle Sam says, "light 'em off!
You're an AMERICAN, for cripe's sake!!!"

I no longer have the same access to fireworks as I did in 1999 when I
was in Missouri, living in the shadow of the Zenith Novelties factory
(Saturn Missiles, Buzz Bombs, Thunder Choppers, etc.) and near the
huge Black Cat distributor in Lone Jack, MO. But I still have some
old inventory, so if I can help you find anything, I will.

"Display fireworks" are a great hobby when enjoyed safely. You
should have heard my 4-year-old a few weeks ago when he saw his first
display firework in the driveway (a Cuckoo Fountain.) He watched with
big eyes until the sparks and whistles died down completely, then let
out a loud, laughing "WHOOOOAAAA!!!" Folks, do me these favors, and
our favorite hobby will proliferate:

1) Enjoy it, but at a reasonable hour;
2) Share it with others, but teach them SAFETY;
3) Pick up after you're done.

Don't give "them" a single reason to complain about "us," and public
perception will turn in our favor once again.

It's good to be back and see some familiar names again.

Godspeed,
Joe

Phantom brand? Not sure, I've been outta the hobby for a few years.
Most of my experience before that was with Black Cat and Brothers
brands. I found those two brands to have the most interesting new
stuff from year to year. Cakes like Hog Wild and The Beast, with
their very unusual sounds, and a little 25 shot cake called Millenium
Festival (with great colors and an accellerated finish) were my
favorites for the money. You can get better performance by spending
more money, but I found those to be great bargains.

I would love to hear more reviews on this site. That's what I
originally intended when I started it in 1999, along with helping to
make these great products available to responsible users.

Just for note, my favorites in other class 1.4G genres:

Firecracker: Roller Coaster brand, bar none. Great, loud, bright
titanium flashes.

Candle: In 1999, it was the Popcorn Candle, a long 10-shooter.
Haven't seen them lately.

Fountain: The bigger the better. Mammoth Fountain by Black Cat was
always great for right around $10.

Reloadable mortars: You almost ALWAYS get what you pay for.

I'd love to hear other's opinions... Joe

I haven't received emails recently either, and I'm the moderator of the group.
It's possible that nobody has posted recently, which is typical right after the
4th of July. I'll look into it though, and make sure our status is such that we
can receive posted emails.

Hi and Happy Turkey Day,

I'm a photographer in OKC,OK and have published a 2004 fireworks
calendar commemorating the fireworks display at our State Capitol's
dome dedication.

Please go to the photo page to view pics of the calendar cover, the
March photo and the Sept. photo. The cover is the July photo. I have
also posted a flyer with ordering instructions. The calendar costs
US$10.95 with $2.00 shipping.

Please forgive me if e-commerce is verboten on this board. I'm very
proud of my calendar and want to get the word out to fireworks lovers.

Thanks, Ed

here is one that works good

Bottle rocket

1.stick
2.piccolo pete
3.pliers
4.tape

ok first take the pliers and crush the top of the p. p. so it has a
little point. then take it out of the holder and tape it upside down
onto the stick. then put the rocket into a pipe or something like
that and light. it flys kinda high and then explodes.

I need some more ways of modifying them

thanks

The management of this Yahoo! group has become so riddled with odd
email addresses for which I have forgotten the passwords years ago...
therefore, with my renewed interest to revitalize this group, I have
moved it to a new location:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/cappussite

The group is titled THE FIREWORKS CLUB, and I will be actively
recruiting membership from people who are truly interested in this
great American hobby. Management will also be more diligent in its
care of this group.

In the meantime, the old Fireworks club group will remain so as to
preserve its archives. I hope to see you all at the new group.

Celebrate your Holidays safely,

Joe
