i'm a proud new owner of the h16. it's mowing just fine and everything appears
to be put together correctly, however the deck will not raise or lower. the
hydraulics are working fine and the mechanism engages, but it won't lift. any
ideas where i might find a close-up view of the mechanism. i just can't make out
the details in the manual.
i'm also in the market for a tiller attachment.

Well the gas tank is a problem.  These are very hard to find.  The tank is kind
of special as it has to have a flange in the middle in order to be clamped to
the frame.  I don't know what is wrong with your tank but if it could in anyway
be repaired you would be better off. 
You can buy new tires for your ridemaster and I would suggest checking with ME
miller tire as I know he carries both sizes.
There are a couple other groups on yahoo that are a little better suited to your
tractor.  Mostly this group is for the newer tube frames and large frame
tractors.  One of them I am the owner and the other one I moderate.  If you

There should be a switch for this electric pulley which will disengage your deck
blades.Hope this helps  !  !

I figured I'd post some pictures of my recently acquired HT23 minor
restoration. I have done some mechanical work (mostly tune up parts).
New coil, points, condenser, plugs, air cleaner, battery etc. It runs
just as good as it looks!!!

I just finished sanding it all down and painting it up with new decals.
New seat too. All I have left to do is install the hour meter (waiting
on it to arrive) and put on some foot treads.

Let me know what you think. I know it is a little dirty, I already
