Know some Japanese? Know how to write it? ^^;
Well if so, you can write Megumi Hayashibara, who we
all know and love, a letter at her King Records
office! The address is :<br><br>T 112 Tokyo-To,
Bunkyo-ku<br>Otowa<br>King Records / Starchild<br>Hayashibara Megumi No
Tokyo Boogie Night<br><br>and lets not forget Belldandy
herself, Inoue Kikuko!<br><br>Inoue Kikuko<br>Manbow
Creative<br>Lekku Shiba-Kouen 810<br>2-11-13
Shiba-Kouen<br>Minato-ku<br>Tokyo 105-0011<br><br>Now, are these the correct
addresses is the question. I don't know but a couple people
from Japan told me those so everyone can try them ^^;
I just don't know if its right ^^;;;; But give it a
try if you want!<br><br>-iambigpants
Allright, why it hadn't occured to me before, I
don't know. But, I was cruising through CDJapan just
the other day and thought about looking up Masami
Okui and yep, she's there. ^^; There is a whole page
of her cd's and videos! Check it out
:<br><br><a href=http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/listups/m-okui.html
target=new>http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/listups/m-okui.html</a><br><br>All prices
are in yen.<br><br>And for you Japanese
speaking and writing people out there.. I have something
that might be up your alley in the next post.
Michael Donovan does Ryouga's voice from Ranma,
ne? I like him. ^_^ And I like Racheal's Jesse. ^_^
But I love Eric Stuart's James. _Really_ surprised to
learn that he was James. O_O Brock, you could tell.
But...James! Btw...who does Meowth's voice? ^^;;<br><br>I
haven't heard Never Never Give Up...yet. I want to,
though, since it's the English version of
Exit-->Running, which I love. I just need to get my hands on the
Slayers Try Treasury BGM 2. ^_^ For that, and Only Lonely
Soldier. ^^;; I love Slayers music. <br><br>Aya
I think my favorite male American seiyuu would be
Michael Donovan. Amazingly, he did the voices for TWO
whole Ronin Warriors/Samurai Troopers, along with other
anime roles. I can't really pick a favorite female
American seiyuu. A lot of people don't think so, but I
think Tiffany Grant did a great job as Evangelion's
Asuka Langley Soryu.<br><br>I first heard Masami Okui
in Jama wa Sasenai, and I had heard Rinbu before,
but I had no idea they were both the sung by the same
singer until I found it on the internet one day! I've
heard Megumi Hayashibara sings backup on Jama wa
Sasenai, but if she really does, then I can't tell, but I
don't really think Megumi sounds a lot like Masami.
Ever heard Never Give Up? It's a cool Slayers song
that both Megumi and Masami sing. If you have the time
try and find it, it's really good. Unfortunately, I
can't remember where I got mine. :(<br><br>H'm,
Pokemon. Jesse's voice bugs me a bit, but I love James and
Meowth! ^_^<br><br>Yes, "Fuwari" is the title of Megumi's
new CD. I posted a news article I found about it in
Megumi club a couple of days ago. Check it out if you
like.<br><br>Sebec
^___^ My favorite female dub seiyuu is Lisa
Ortiz, while my favorite male one is Crispin Freeman. I
find this kinda weird since my favorite roles that
they've been done are Lina and Zelgadis from Slayers, who
are voiced by Megumi Hayashibara and Hikaru
Midorikawa, my two favorite Japanese seiyuu. Coincedence?
^_^;;<br><br>And on another note...Masami Okui does a lot of
Slayers songs. She duets with Megumi on "Get Along!",
"KUJIKENAIKARA!", and "Nemurenai Yoru Wa", and she sings "Jame wa
Sasenai", "Naked Mind", "Niji no Youni", "IN THIS ARM",
"process", "Senba no Madonna", "Never Die", and a couple
others that I've forgotten at the moment. ^^;; Also,
IIRC, she's a part of Mabical Vox (someone told me
this...I'm not sure if it's true), which sung "Power of
Infinity". Yes, I'm a useless fount of Slayers information.
^_-;;<br><br>And on another Masami-related subject...am I the only
one who thinks that she sounds like Megumi when she
sings? The very first time I heard Rinbu Revolution, I
thought that the singer was Megumi. Maybe I'm just used
to hearing them duet...yeah, that's it.
^_^;;<br><br>Racheal Lillis...once again, IIRC she only did Pikachu
for a short time. The rest of the time, Pikachu was
done by it's original seiyuu whose name I've currently
forgotten. ^^; She also does Misty's and Jesse's voices on
Pokemon. (Jesse and James...the reason why I watch the
show. ^_^)<br><br>And "Fuwari", Megumi's newest
CD...according to CDJapan, it's set to be released on the
twenty-seventh. <br><br>Aya
Oh, I'm all for talking about American seiyuu. As
a matter of fact, I ran a dub seiyuu database about
two years ago which nicely flopped ^_-;<br><br>So
does anyone have a favorite American voice
actor/actress? My favorite would definetely be Lisa Ortiz, who
does the voices for Lina Inverse, Deedlit, Ellis (from
Toshinden), and a couple other roles. She has had a couple
AOL chats before, but deedlit.org is trying to get
her to do a chat on IRC.<br><br>Oh! While cruising
through ebay I noticed a piece of American seiyuu and
surprisingly going for a large sum of money. Its a signed
Utena card by the voice actress of Utena (supposedly),
Rachael Lillis. I know she does the voices for Chuchu and
more than likely, Pikachu from Pokemon/Pocket
Monsters. If anyone wants to check it out, its at

br><br>Also, I just read the messages about Masami Okui (I've
been gone for a while ^^;) and was wondering if anyone
has found out what other songs she has sung? I have
only heard her sing Rinbu Revolution (Utena OP) and
shes great! I think so anyway ^^<br><br>Also, I'm in
the process of doing some bigger plugging for the
site. Casual mentions on mailing lists, getting a
mention at domain sites and so on ^^; we'll see if we
attract any new visitors.<br><br>And last, does anyone
know when the new Megumi cd will be released? I
probably should've preordered mine but never
did.<br><br>Whoo.. that was a pretty big message ^^;
<br><br>-iambigpants
Hmmm...if we were to talk about American seiyuu
(which I'm all for, btw. iambigpants-san?), I think we
should just stick to American seiyuu in Japanese anime,
since this is a club for...well, seiyuu for Japanese
animation, not American animation. Just sticking in my 2
cents. ^_^ <br><br>Aya
Here's food for thought. I wonder if we should
start talking about American seiyuu for a little
while??? Maybe not. ^_^<br><br>But if we did, would be
talk about American seiyuu just in anime or in all
animation?
As far as I know, Masami hasn't done any voices
for any anime character. Methinks that she just
sings. And Jame wa Sesanai...the only kanji under the
song title on my CD is the ones for Masami's name, so
I'd say that she sings it alone. <br><br>Aya
Hi, I'm wondering about Masami Okui. I know she's
done some anime songs, like the op. for Utena and the
ending for Slayers NEXT, but has she done any voices,
and if so, which ones?<br><br>Also, about the Slayers
NEXT ending song, Jama wa Sasenai, I think Masami Okui
sings it alone, but I've read maybe it's sung my both
Masami Okui and Megumi Hayashibara. Anyone know about
this?
First of all, thanks to Sebec for posting this
cool pics! I really like the Eva one.<br><br>and last,
I know this doesn't have to do with real seiyuu,
but there is this game I just remembered called Doki
Doki on Air, which is a voice acting simulation game
for the Japanese PlayStation. Does anyone have this
game or any info on it? www.ncsx.com is selling it for
$39 to those interested.<br><br>-iambigpants
I posted a photo called, "Evangelion's Creators &
Cast!" There isn't enough room in the description area
to fully describe the photo, so I'll do it in this
post. Top row, left is Eva's director, Hideaki Anno. I
believe the man in the top right is Eva's character
designer, Yoshiyuki Sadamoto. The bottom row, left to right
is as follows: Megumi Hayashibara (Rei Ayanami),
Megumi Ogata (Shinji Ikari), Kotono Mitsuishi (Misato
Katsuragi), and Yuko Miyamura (Asuka Langley Soryu).
Just wanted to let you know, the new Hayashibara
CD won't be released until November :/ Yeah, it's
another month to wait, but we can hang on, ne?
^_-<br><br>And in semi-related news, you can preorder the new CD
at www.tokyopop.com! If you're a member of the club
at the site, you can get the CD for $20.52 and that
is the first pressing too..includes a mini-picture
book ^_^ I have mine on order...just patiently waiting
now ^^
Awesome! I'll be sure to get my pre-order in
soon! H'm, I'm curious, how did you come across this
information?<br><br>By the way, would you mind also posting this message
in the Megumi club? I'm sure a lot of members will
be exited by the news! Thanks!<br><br>-Sebec
Corporation
Here's the info I have on the new
cd.<br><br>Hayashibara Megumi's new CD will be coming out on
10/27.<br>The title will be "Fuwari" ($B$U$o$j(B). It's the
first Japanese<br>title that she has used.<br>Also this
CD will have a lot of new songs. Most of
them.<br>She was going to make it combination of Slayers and
Lost Universe<br>songs plus a few new songs. But she
ended up doing mostly new songs.<br><br>-iambigpants
Well it's been a while, so I thought I would
post! First, I want to say 'Hey' to the Lord of
Nightmares. Hey! heh. Also, I got some Utena subs (courtesy
of a good friend (Hey Carrot! ^_-;)) and was excited
to find out that Aya Hisakawa is the seiyuu for
Miki! My favorite Utena character!<br><br>Somewhere in
my email box is a letter about the new Megumi CD.
I'll load that up and put the info
here.<br><br>-iambigpants
Heh, I guess this is funny. Three of us have been
logging in the last few days, but no one has posted or
added pictures. I guess that just happens sometimes
early on when club membership is low. Don't give up
though, keep trying.
Hihi!<br><br>Yeah, I've watched SMJ. I had
>NO< idea that was Koyasu at all. @.o They even had it
listed on the back of the box who played
who...(animevillage release). Most of the fansubs I have rarely ever
post who the seiyuus are. Wow. I'm still in shock here
@.o; <br><br>Anyways, that's enough from me
^^;;;<br><br>Carrot
Don't mind me, I'm just babbling...as usual.
^_^;;<br><br>Has anyone here watched Saber Marionette J? If so, am
I the only one who was surprised by Takehito
Koyasu's voice-acting as Hanagata? I've watched/heard more
than a couple Koyasu roles (Aya, Rezo, Hotohori,
Zechs/Milliardo, Touga...), and Hanagata was so different! He was
whiny and annoying and...and...so different from the
usual suave and generally cool-sounding characters that
I'm used to hearing Koyasu play. And this, oddly
enough considering how ANNOYING Hanagata is, made me
appreciate Koyasu-as-a-seiyuu more. I mean, Hanagata showed
me that he can play more than one type of character;
it showed me that his range doesn't just consist of
sounding and playing sophisticated-sounding characters.
^_^;;<br><br>Of course, no one's range impresses me as much as
Akira Ishida's does. From Xelloss to
Fisheye...O_O<br><br>Aya (Okay, so there wasn't much of a point to this
post...^_^)
Lol! ^o^ It's Hikaru Midorikawa, not Midoriwaki. *grins* And nice pics, btw.
Especially the ones of Midorikawa-sama. *_* (Oh boy, I sound like a total
fangirl now, huh?)<br><br>Aya
First of all, Hello Sebec! hehe Member #3
allright!<br><br>Also, I added some new pics in the section of 4
different seiyuu I think. Ai Orikasa (Ryoko), Hikaru
Midoriwaki (I hope I spelt that right ^^;; Zelgadis!), Aya
Hisakawa (Sailor Mercury), and for some reason I can't
remember the other one but its a nice picture.<br><br>And,
I'm going to do some plugging so hopefully we'll get
some more people. Maybe we can have a chat once in a
while too!<br><br>Thats all I've got to
report!<br><br>-iambigpants
Awesome! Finally, a multi-focus seiyuu club!
Among the many seiyuu I like are Megumi Hayashibara (my
absolute favorite), Kotono Mitsuishi, Aya Hisakawa, and
Yuko Miyamura. Heh, the funny thing is...I haven't
heard much of their work, except for
Megumi's!<br><br>IMO, seiyuu are way cooler than most Hollywood stars,
teen idols like Backstreet Boys, and most American
musicians.<br><br>BTW, plugging the club does help, but you have to do
it A LOT. In the earlier days of my own club, I
plugged it many, many times a day. <br>A great day might
have had as many as 20+ visitors. Slowly, the members
joined, like iambigpants and fujimiya_aya (thanks a
lot!). It's tough to find true anime fans, meaning
anyone who has seen more than dubbed Sailor Moon and
Dragon Ball Z. Visitors might come out of curiousity,
but anyone who even knows what seiyuu are is sure to
come. I think it helps to add a lot of pictures and to
have regular postings to show that members are still
active. Well, that's my advice. I look forward to this
becoming a great club!
I added 2 new pictures of Megumi Hayashibara to her own album in the photos
section. I was told they were from her new CD or single so thats what I put in
the description.<br><br>-iambigpants
Hello Aya!<br><br>Whoo! My first member! hehe
I've been plugging the club trying to get other anime
fans to join but no luck :|<br><br>My favorite seiyuu
is Megumi Hayashibara! I also like Aya Hisakawa,
Yuri Amano, and Chika Sakamoto.<br><br>Feel free to
upload any pics of seiyuu you have in the photos
section. Or J-pop artists. Doesn't matter!
^_^<br><br>-iambigpants
Hey there! ^_^ I'm Aya, and I've just joined this
club. I'm a big seiyuu fan, which is why I joined this
club, obviously. ^_- Anyway, just figured that I should
drop a line and all that. My favorite seiyuu are
*ahem* Hikaru Midorikawa, Megumi Hayashibara, Akira
Ishida, and a whole bunch of others. ^_^;; Here's hoping
that more people join the club! ^_^<br><br>Aya
