FEB 2010: THAILAND HAS ANNOUNCED IT IS NOT ACCEPTING ANY FURTHER APPLICATIONS TO ADOPT FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE YEAR.
You are still welcome to join this group. We are a friendly group of adoptive parents of Thai children. We originated in 1988 as a group of some of the first families to adopt from Thailand. We are happy to share our experiences and knowledge with those of you who are hoping to adopt although for those starting the process we also advocate membership of OASIS. In return for what we offer, we do ask that all members respect the privacy of each family and do not pass names or personal information outside of this group. Likewise emails from non-members should not be forwarded onto the Group without clearance from the moderator. When applying we ask you to give us a short explanation of why you wish to join this group along with a contact number and then we ask you to send a donation of £10 towards our charitable cause in Bangkok for children with disabilities plus an annual donation of £25 to the same cause. Your membership will be confirmed on receipt of the information and a cheque for £35.
