This group is dedicated to subjects pertaining to Early English (Anglo-Saxon) topics, covering approximately the 5th to 11th centuries AD. 'Fair Game' topics include archaeology, architecture, art, flora and fauna, history, language, literature (both poetry and prose), politics and religions of the period - with excursions into their effects upon modern England where appropriate.

Though intended primarily for members of Tha Engliscan Gesithas/The English Companions, membership of the group is NOT restricted to current Gesithas. Non-members, however, are asked to give some account of their interest in the period to help the Moderators decide their application.
