http://www.annelawrence.com/twr/srsindex.html <~~this is a list of SRS Doctors
but before you get that far you will need to make sure you have followed what
are called The Harry Benjamin International Standards of Care for Gender
Identity Disorders. This information is also covered on Anne Lawrrence website.
Basically you will need to see a gender "not family therapist" after a period of
time you will need to change your legal name to a female name, get approved for
HRT " hormone replacement theraphy " by your therapist and begin living full
time as a woman for a year. After that year of living full time you will have to
be seen by a second gender therapist briefly to get an approval letter because
it takes two letters to get approved for gender reassignment surgery. If you
smoke stop, you will need to be in very good health and most GRS doctors won't
do surgery if you weigh over 200 pounds. Go to this website:
http://www.marcibowers.com/ and contact Dr. Marci Bowers, she is a post-op
herself and a GRS surgeon and can supply you with all the information that you
will need even if you go someplace else for your surgery.
Good Luck,
