With that philosophy at heart, this list is for Significant Others, Families, Friends and Allies (SOFFAs) seeking support, friendship, and resources. We encourage all members of this list to also belong to the TransGender_Michigan Yahoo Group, so as not to become "fringe" members of the transgender community; however, the tgmi-SOFFAs list allows SOFFAs to address our concerns, fears, or questions in a safe venue without feeling guilty or worrying about offending our transgender partners, friends, and/or family members.

The tgmi-SOFFAs Yahoo Group is not intended to be a venue for those seeking dates or sexual encounters. It is intended to be a forum for transgender people and their significant others, family, friends, and allies to chat with one another and find support on the issues that are important to them.
